Welcome to Austin
Whether you are just visiting or moving in next door, we’re happy to have you. Known for our natural water springs, like Barton Springs Pool, and vibrant nightlife, Austin has a little something for everyone. You’ve likely heard some amazing things about our town, but here are some things you might not know:
Austin is one of the sunniest cities in the US.
Out of 365 days, Austin gets an average of 300 days of sunshine.
We’re Texas’s seventh capital.
It changed from Republic capital to state capital after the United States annexed Texas in 1848.
Austin is the home of UT Austin.
We take pride in our UT Austin Longhorns! Hook ‘em!
We value education.
Forbes has designated Austin Texas as one of the U.S.’s biggest “brain magnet” cities
We keep it local.
Farmer’s markets have become a cherished part of Austin culture. Barton Creek Farmers’ Market and Texas Farmers’ Market at Mueller are just two of our personal favorites.
We are all about the music!
Austin and live music is no surprise, but did you know we have over 250 music venues? Some are even famous worldwide.

Zilker Park
Our offices are located in the beloved Zilker neighborhood, named the 6th best neighborhood in Austin by Austin Monthly. Zilker Park itself is known for events like the Zilker Park Kite Festival, Blues on the Green, Austin City Limits Music Festival, and the Zilker Holiday Tree. With an abundance of beautiful green space, quality schools, and a diverse population, you’ll be glad to call Austin home.
